Proudest running moments: Beating my half marathon PR by 11 minutes, besting even my goal by 4 minutes and realizing I had real potential as a distance runner. I used to have this mental block trying to run faster than 8 minute miles for a longer race, but a friend paced me to a 7:43 average and I felt like if I trained harder I could accomplish even more (I’ve taken 2 more minutes off my PR since then). Besides that, my proudest track moment was setting my university’s record in the high jump my senior year. 🙂

Favorite quote: Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can achieve what others can’t. -Jerry Rice

Favorite place to run: The farming roads around Forest Grove

Best running advice you’ve ever received: “Believe.” That was the motto of my college track team. It reminds me that I have to trust in my training, visualize success, and commit to the process in order reach my highest potential.

Favorite post-race meal: Pizza! And beer of course.
