The mission of RCTC is to provide a supportive and welcoming, team-based training platform for runners aspiring to be locally to nationally competitive and take their running to the next level.

For anyone not interested in competing, anyone who already have a separate coaching/strength platform, or anyone simply looking for a fun group of people to run with, RCTC has two community offerings: Foodie Fridays and our Big Fun Long Run series.

ABOUT FOODIE FRIDAY

Every Friday, an RCTC teammate maps a 4 mile and 6 mile community run from their local or favorite coffee shop. All paces and abilities welcome. For many of our teammates, Foodie Friday is their easy recovery run; recovery pace is different for everyone but for many teammates it is between 8:00/mi and 9:00/mi. Before the run, circle up and share which distance you’re running and communicate your intended pace so you can find a run bud to cruise along with. Hang around after for coffee and pastries. Keep an eye on our Instagram and Strava for weekly locations.

ABOUT BFLR

Every month, RCTC organizes a Big Fun Long Run (BFLR) on a weekend. Our coach writes a workout for half marathon and marathon groups. Similar to Foodie Fridays, circle up and share your workout and paces to find a run bud. A lot of teammates and friends of the team attend without workouts, allowing them to hop in to help pace or keep folks company. It’s a great time. Watch Strava and our Instagram for updates.
